Cemetery Board Adds New Members

Big changes are coming to the Brownfield Cemetery Board as president Buzz Steele has resigned. There was a meeting on Monday, July 11 for the cemetery and that’s when Mr.Steele resigned. Then two new board members were appointed, Jeff Davis and Timothy Click were both appointed along with Patsy Campbell. Mrs. Campbell was appointed Interim President. Mrs. Campbell told The Brownfield News that, “Buzz did a wonderful job with what he had and I have been with the board for 36 years and I’m not planning to leave anytime soon because these are critical times and I want to take care of it the best I can. Those are our loved ones out there and I respect them”.

Last week a veteran and business owner took his business to The Babe Ruth tournament. Mac Moreno who served 15 years in the army and his wife Shantel, who is a cancer survivor, brought the pleasure of a nice cold snow cone to every athlete, win or lose after a hard fought game.
