Read moreARKANSAS — Funeral Service for Dwayne Halbrooks, age 87, of Conway, Arkansas, were held at 10 a,m, on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Burial followed at the Loop Cemetery. Dwayne was born on September 15, 1937, in Loop, to Filbert and Lora Halbrooks. He was a member of the Needs Creek Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas. Dwayne was a Master Member of the Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He and his wife, Betty, farmed for over 40 years before retiring to Conway, Arkansas. Retirement life was raising cattle and enjoying countless trips to Branson, Missouri. Dwayne is survived by his wife of the home, Betty, and their three daughters, Vicki Hataway (Jim) of Springtown, Gayla Bishop (Cager) of Brownfield, and Kim Rodgers (Wes) of Seagraves. Their grandchildren include Erica Hogue, Ryan Dill, Haylee Dill, Lindi Rodgers, Tee Rodgers, Jaron Hataway, and Jordan Hataway. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. LaMoine was predeceased by her beloved parents, Newton Amos Lindsey and Fannie Buchanan Lindsey, and sisters, Trucene George and Geraldine Davis. She was also preceded in death by her cherished nieces, Cynthia Hutchison and Shauna George. She is survived by her daughter, Cammy Abernathy (Steve Pearton), and her grandson, Max Pearton. LaMoine is also survived by her niece, Candy (Randy) Parrish, and nephews, Scott (Debby) George and Walt Davis. LaMoine was known for her deep love of family, her passion for fashion, her collection of cookbooks, and her love of old movies and football. She embodied the spirit of a true Southern belle, with a Texas twist, bringing grace and charm to everyone she met.
