Read moreAs Memorial Day has come and gone, it’s looking like the COVID-19 virus pandemic is becoming a second thought, or at least according to the economy. The Dow Jones Industrial set a record at a whopping 29,568 on Feb. 12. That seemed to be short-lived when the COVID-19 virus became prevalent in the coming days and the Dow lost over a 1000 points within eight days. The Dow then plunged from 28,037.65 to 19,028.36 on March 23. That was well over 10,000 points lost within a five week span. By the time May 14 had arrived, there would be over 39 million unemployed workers.

Friday Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that the state is working on college football beginning on time for the 2020 season, even with some fans in attendance. Gov. Abbott mentioned that there are still some issues that need to be fine tuned before the beginning such as stadium capacity, and the availability of medical treatment for the virus, plus the overall status of a possible outbreak in Texas.
