Lady Cubs clinch 3A Championship in overtime

San Antonio – The Brownfield Lady Cubs basketball team went through a gauntlet of matches in reaching the championship game on Wednesday, March 10 in the Alamodome. Standing in the way of the Lady Cubs’ quest to win their first state title since 1988 was Fairfield. The Lady Cubs went on to defeat the Lady Eagles 68-64 to win the state championship.
