Services for Joe Trevino Villarreal, Sr., 78, of Brownfield was held at 10 am on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Abundant Harvest Community Church with Pastor Rudy Alvarado officiating. Prayer service were held from 6:30- 8 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel. Joe was born on April 27, 1943, in Odem, Texas, to Jesus and Maria Villarreal. He was passionate about farming and tending to his horses.

He enjoyed shopping at auctions and flea markets. Joe was very social and surrounded himself with others from church, McDonald’s morning coffee group and watching wrestling. He was a member of the Latin Foursquare Church. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Villarreal; two sons, Joe Villarreal, Jr. and Larry Villarreal; great-grandson, Jonah Evan Lucio and his parents, Jesus and Maria Villarreal.

Joe is survived by his two daughters, Sandra Villarreal and companion Rick Rodriguez and Flora Alvarado and husband Rudy; nine grandchildren, Linda Alvarado, Rudy Alvarado, Jr. and companion Sarah Calvillio, Tessa Lucio and husband Johnny, Jo’Ana Davis and husband Roy, Monica Gomez and husband Kevin, Jo’Seth Villarreal and companion Darian, Roddy Warren and companion Lindsey Pauda, Ross Warren and companion Genesis Rodriguez, Rheagan Warren and companion Kris Rivera; 19 great-grandchildren; and Joe Jr’s companion, Monica Warren.
