By halftime there was no doubt the Lady Cubs where on their way to a sixth straight district win and more importantly a win against each member in District 3-3A. Brownfield dispatched Lamesa 73-30 putting themselves in the driver seat to win the district title.

They where on the road for the first time in District 3-3A visiting the Golden Tornadoes of Lamesa, a team looking to turn its season around and make a run at the playoffs. The Cubs went into the game Tuesday in second place trailing only Dimmitt for the district title and a spot in the playoffs, but after another cold start the Cubs fell to Lamesa 78-69.

The is was the first meeting between the two Terry County teams with each team coming in with different aspirations. The Lady Broncos had only one district game played after Loop canceled due to COVID, and the Lady ‘Cats came in looking to get above .500 in district. Both were still in the fight for the district title, but it was Meadow that took a leap forward after defeating its rival 45-34.
