She is a senior at Meadow High School where she is a Varsity Cheerleader, a member of National Honor Society, FCCLA, UIL, One Act Play and a Dual Credit student. The new population figures from the American Community Survey indicate Hispanic Texans comprise 40.2% of the state’s population last year, while non-Hispanic white Texans made up 39.4%, as reported in the Texas Tribune.

Data recently released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates that US life expectancy has once again fallen, with COVID-19 a primary culprit. The life span which could be expected for someone born in 2021 fell to 76.1 years, the lowest since 1996. For males 73.2 years could be expected, with 79.1 years for females.

Terry Memorial Hospital District approves new ultrasound unit and staff

The Terry Memorial Hospital District regular monthly Board meeting was called to order by Chair Brian Paiva at 6:30 pm. Beginning with a posted public hearing on the district’s proposed tax rate, Paiva inquired of those in attendance whether anyone had comments on the proposed tax rate. Hearing none, Paiva adjourned the public hearing and moved the meeting to the regular meeting agenda.
