Graveside service for Olivia Vasquez was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Brownfield Cemetery with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Rosary was held Sunday, February 7 and Monday, February 8 at 6 p.m. at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Olivia passed away on February 4, 2021 in Brownfield. She was born on February 9, 1944 in Mart, TX to Frank and Aurelia Franco. She married the love of her life Domingo Vasquez on September 27, 1962 in Brownfield. Olivia was a great cook and there were a few things that she absolutely loved: garage sales, talking on the phone (although she always hung up before we could say “bye”), Sunday gatherings with her family, sweet potatoes, watching “Bold and the Beautiful” and her dog, Bella. Her famous saying was “Queres una pregadita.”Olivia is preceded in death by her husband Domingo Vasquez; parents, Frank and Aurelia Franco; brothers, Gilbert Franco and Henry Franco. Olivia is survived by her children, Angie Garcia, Alice Sanchez, Reyna Vasquez, Cristela Navarro, Gilbert Vasquez and wife Rachel, Teresa Ramon and husband Stephen, Christopher Vasquez; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Alex Franco, and sister, Lydia Espinoza.
