Olane Caswell

August 26, 1927 - October 3, 2018

Our Papa, Olane Caswell, 91, of Brownfield, went home to his Father on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018. He was surrounded by loving family in his home. Celebration of our Papa’s life was held 10 a.m. Friday, October 5th at First Baptist Church in Meadow with Pastor Greg Breed-love officiating. Interment followed in the Meadow Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Papa was born on August 26, 1927 in Hollis, OK to Doug and Bessie Caswell. He moved to Terry County with his family in 1945. He soon met the love of his life, LaDoyce Keesee and made her his “forever” on July 28, 1949. Papa was a diligent steward of the land all of his days. His other great loves were for his Jesus, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! Papa had a way of showing us that it’s the little things that are the big things in life. He was preceeded into glory by his parents, son Gerald, son-in-law Alan Bayer, precious great granddaughter Cambry, 10 brothers, and 3 sisters. Papa is survived by his “sweetie face”, LaDoyce Caswell, his three daughters Shirla Bayer, Roni Taylor (Steve), and Laura Mackey (Philip), thirteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandkids, daughter-in-law Tere Caswell, and his sister Auvanell Parrish. We were blessed with the best!
