Funeral services for Marjorie Dee Briscoe will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Brownfield Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Marjorie went to be with her heavenly Father Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in Lubbock. She was born June 5, 1930, to Garland and Modelle (Sanders) Cabe in Tahoka. She married Milton Briscoe, Jr. on June 16, 1946, and they were married for 63 years until Jr.’s passing in 2009.

Marjorie went by many names, Marjie Dee, DeeDee, Dee but the names she loved most were Mom, Granny and Granny Dee. Mom was actively involved in helping Dad farm, hauling trailers and building cotton modules. Mom was an incredible seamstress, cook and gardener. Mom and Dad spent every free hour fishing at lake Amistad with family and friends. She loved to talk and spend time with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, son, Johnny Dale, daughter, Jamie Briscoe, son-in-law, Mickey Joplin, brother, Bud Cabe and wife Ernie.

Mom is survived by her daughter, Judy Joplin; two grandsons, Chad Joplin and wife, Trey, Jason Joplin; granddaughter, Angela Dehls; two great grandsons, Aaron Joplin and wife, Sarah, Justin Dehls; step-great grandson Kirklin Zorns; one great-great grandson, Henry Joplin; and baby J coming in September.

The family would like to thank the dedicated caregivers of Promiseland for their loving care of Mom. Donations can be made to Hospice of Lubbock and Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
