Jearldyne Kelley, 87 of Brownfield passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018. She was born July 31, 1931 to Greeley and Ruth (Hare) Garrett in Andalusia, Alabama. Jearldyne graduated from Pleasant Home H.S. in Alabama where she met her future husband Ralph. They married August 9, 1952 and began their journey together. She worked as a school secretary for Christian Home and Bible School in Mt. Dora, Florida, until the family relocated to Brownfield where she has worked as a baker. Jearldyne was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Ralph; children, Stewart Headquist and wife Jamie, Phillip Kelley and wife Toni, David Kelley, Judy Kelley Cox and husband Zane, Tim Kelley and wife Delen, Janie Kelley Boyles and husband Dennis, Janet Kelley Garrett and husband Tim; sisters, Rebecca Davis, Eleanor Williamson; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Verlyn and Mike Garrett; grandsons, Clancey Kelley and Ryan Boyles Barton. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 with family receiving friends from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. at the Venue on Broadway in Lubbock. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at the City of Lubbock cemetery with services at 1:00 p.m. at Brownfield Church of Christ.
