Funeral services for Ita Al-dean Hartman will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at The Crossing Church of God with Eric Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

There will be a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2018.

Aldean passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 in Lubbock. She was born January 4, 1926 to Floyd and Finis (Beavers) Brooks. She married J.M. “Dutch” Hartman on July 30, 1942 in Brownfield. Aldean moved to Terry County from California in 1949. She was employed by Anthony’s Department Store for 18 years. She also helped her husband J.M. farm in Wellman. She loved her family, kids, and grandkids. She was a devoted Christian woman. Aldean was a great seamstress who always made things for her grandkids for Christmas. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Hartman, two brothers, Ira Farmer, Ellis Carmichael, and one sister, Movelda Johnson.

Aldean is survived by three daughters, Betty Adair and husband, Buster, Marcie Dooley and husband, James, Martha Haley and husband, Ron; son, Jessie D. Hartman and wife, Shirley; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Norene Maevers.
