Funeral service for Isabel Gamez, 83, will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Templo Bauitista Betel with Rev. Robert Ochoa officating, Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Isabel was born November 29,

1935 to Jose and Maria Herrera in Karnes County, TX. She married her soul mate Alfredo Gamez Sr. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother. Isabel was always ready to serve her spouse and her church. Whether it was cooking or driving the GH’s or the youth to events. She was an excellent cook and loved cooking for every one and her church. Isabel loved God and repeated the Word. She was an active member of her church Templo Bauitista Betel where she taught Sunday school and was the director of the kitchen. She was always willing to help anyone in need. Isabel is preceded in Death by her spouse Alfredo Gamez Sr.; son Alfredo Gamez Jr.; daughter Ester Alvarado; daughter Yolanda Gamez, grand-daughter Gloria Balderas; great-grandson Steven Ray Rodriguez, great-granddaughter Mia Biera; brother Juan Flores of Mason; brother Domingo Flores of Floresville; sister Antonia Flores of Morton. Isabel is survived by her sister Racquela Prietto of Austin; son Santos (Angie) Gamez of Brownfield; son Manuel Gamez of Brownfield; Daughter Virginia (Martin) Rodriguez of Brownfield; son Gilbert (Yolanda) Gamez of Lubbock; son Larry (Dora) Gamez of Lamesa; daughter Julia (Jose) Hernandez of Brownfield; son George (Mary) Gamez of Brownfield; son David (Mary) Gamez of Brownfield; daughter Dora (Daniel) Campos of Brownfield; daughter Irma (Manuel) Chavira of Lamesa; son Lee (Rocio) Gamez of Brownfield; daughter Mary Isabell Soto of Brownfield. 48 grandchildren; 126 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great grandchildren.
