Funeral services for Genaro Arguellez Sr., 79, of Brownfield will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Burial will follow at Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Rosary will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Genaro Arguellez Sr. was surrounded by his loving family and went to his heavenly home June 26, 2022. Genaro was born in Yorktown on December 2, 1942. He married the love of his life Hela in 1964. They shortly moved from Yorktown to Gomez. Genaro was known for his contagious smile and his great sense of humor. He knew no strangers. He was the first to lend a helping hand or give a kind word to someone in need. He was a strong role model to his family and friends. Genaro was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will always be remembered making his rounds all around town in his white ford truck. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sirildo and Dominga Arguellez, wife Hela Arguellez, daughter Norma Arguellez, son Genaro Arguellez Jr., brothers Domingo Arguellez, Eliojo Arguellez Luis Arguellez and Catarino Sr. Arguellez and sister Maria Cruz.

Genaro is survived by his sons, Bobby Arguellez and wife MaryAnn of Brownfield, Joe Arguellez and wife Amanda of Amarillo; 10 grandkids; 24 great grandkids; sister, Paula Luera of Brownfield, Juana Lerma of Donna; brothers, Sirlido Jr. of Victoria, Raul Arguellez of Brownfield, Ismael Arguellez of Brownfield, and Roberto Arguellez of Dallas.
