Funeral services for Christoval Rodriguez, Jr. will be held at 10 am, Friday, September 10, 2021, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownfield Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Viewing will be held on Wednesday September 8, 2021, from 1 pm to 8 pm and Thursday September 9, 2021, from 9 am until 8 pm at Brownfield Funeral Home. Chris was born on June 6, 1949, in Brownfield to Christoval Rodriguez and Socorro Herrera Rodriguez. He farmed all his life. Chris was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Christobal and Socorro Rodriguez; a brother, Mike Mata; a sister, Carolyn Huerta; a son, Daniel Rodriguez; and a granddaughter, Jessica Trevino. Chris is survived by three daughters, Guadalupe Rodriguez of Borger, Lynn Dominguez (Rey) of Amarillo, Leticia Rodriguez of Lubbock; two sons, Christoval Rodriguez III, Juan Vela of Seagraves; four sisters, Janie Aleman of Amarillo, Gloria Rodriguez of Brownfield, Rosie Lopez of Levelland, Christina Barrera of Seagraves; four brothers, Joe Mata of Brush, CO, Jesus Rodriguez (Billie) of Lovington, NM, Domingo Rodriguez (Liz) of Casa Grande, AZ, and Ricky Rodriguez of Grand Junction, CO.
