  • Benito A Silva “Benny”

On Sunday October 25, 2020, Benito A. Silva “Benny”, went to be with the Lord. It is with great sadness that we, the Silva Family, say “see you later” to an amazing son, brother, uncle, and father. Benito was born on August 9, 1971 to Jose and Maria Silva in Brownfield, TX. Benny worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for 24 years and went to work for Brownfield Independent School District where he had currently been working for a year. One of the greatest things Benny was known for was how his smile would light up every room he walked into. He had unconditional love for his kids and all his nieces and nephews. One thing that his nieces and nephews will always cherish is the nicknames that he gave each and every one of them. Benny was loved by many. He loved family gatherings and being the cook in charge of the grill. He loved his Denver Broncos. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Benito and Juanita Alvarado, Pedro and Herminia Silva Benito is survived by his parents, Jose and Maria Silva of Brownfield; two children, Benito Silva and Yazmine Silva of Brownfield; six siblings, Jose Silva and wife, Estella of Brownfield, Cynthia Mendoza and husband, Manuel of Brownfield, Johnny Silva and wife Vickie of Brownfield, Leticia Stringham and husband, Jeff of Filbert, AZ, Jimmy Silva and wife Krissy of Brownfield, Crystal Gonzalez and husband Miguel of Brownfield; 18 nieces and nephews; and 12 great nieces and nephews. Benny, until we meet again we will all cherish every memory you left with us. Have fun singing and dancing with the angels. Visitation will be at Brownfield Funeral Home Tuesday and Wednesday, October 27 and 28, 2020 from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral services will be held 10 am Thursday, October 29, 2020 with Lupita Trevino officiating at Brownfield Funeral Home.
