Funeral service for Avalino DeLeon, Jr., will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Templo Betel with Rev. Santos Gamez officiating. Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Avalino was born on October 30, 1951, in Meadow, TX to Avalino DeLeon, Sr. and Juanita Constancio DeLeon. He passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 72.

Avalino was a devoted husband to his wife, JoAnn DeLeon and a loving father and grandfather to his children and grandchildren.

Avalino’s love for the Lord was evident in all aspects of his life. He found joy in watching the Dallas Cowboys games and spent countless hours tinkering on his old Dodge as if he were a seasoned mechanic.

Avalino is preceded in death by his parents, Avalino DeLeon, Sr. and Juanita Constancio DeLeon; two sisters, Janet DeLeon and Louisa Perez; and a son, Erik DeLeon.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn DeLeon; nine children, Emilia DeLeon, Augrelio DeLeon, Omene Montano, Priscilla Beltran, Amy Cano, Yvette Villanueva, Monica Gomez, Justin DeLa-Cruz, and Noah Hurtado; 34 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Rivera; and a brother, Alfredo Rivera.
