The Brownfield Animal Shelter was the location for the Friends of Brownfield Animal Shelter annual Bark in the Park event and it is the first time they are partnering with Reeds Ranch and Rescue. The event was a chance for Brownfield and Terry County dog owners to get rabies shots, DA2PCV, deworm, and microchip their dogs at a discounted rate, as well as a free toenail trim and flea and tick treatment.

Read moreOn Monday, June 7 the Brownfield boys and girls basketball camps began with the little dribblers going from 10 a.m. until noon at Oak Grove Elementary and summer skills work for fourth to ninth graders at Brownfield High. On the first day, there were 31 kids for little dribblers, 14 girls, and 30 boys for the summer skills. Both head coaches Michelle Wyatt and Zayne McPherson spoke on what they hope to accomplish in the three days of summer camp.
