Eleazar (Alix) Bergara Rodriguez

Eleazar (Alix) Bergara Roriguez, 64, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 15, 2022. He was born to Narciso and Estela Rodriguez on March 12, 1958 in Mathis, Texas. His family moved to Terry County where he resided until his passing. Alix attended Union ISD until graduating in 1976, where he was a part of the only basketball team that went to state in the school’s history. Alix was a charismatic and loving individual with a passion for art in many forms. He had an avid appreciation for motorcycles, lowriding, and above all he loved his family deeply. Alix is survived by his 3 sons Jacob and wife Angelica, Jonas and wife Jenna, and Juilian. Grandchilden, Brandon, Victoria, Acacia and Luca; brother Ed; nephew Rod and son Teddy and niece Alix. A celebration of life service will be held under the direction of Les Wilks at Calvary Baptist Church on Monday July 25 at 10 a.m. 402 West Broadway in Brownfield, Texas.

With Brownfield Lady Cub volleyball just around the corner there are a couple of things that need to be addressed. One of those things being the new Head Coach. Courtney VanderDussen who has been coaching club volleyball for 5 years and also coached the Brownfield Middle school volleyball team for the past 2 years. VanderDussen is the new head volleyball coach for the Lady Cubs and she already has the pedal to the medal.
