W.E. “Gene” Heath 92, of Big Spring formerly of Brownfield and Sweetwater passed away Friday, November 2, 2019 at Scenic Mountain Hospital in Big Spring. Funeral services were at 2:00 P.M. November 5, 2019 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Lawayne Henderson officiating. Interment followed at Terry County Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater. The family held a visitation before the service on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon till service time at the Brownfield Funeral Home. Gene was born March 18, 1927 in Yoakum County, TX to the late Soloman Levi and Lucy (Adam) Heath. He married Loudeen Armstrong on February 7, 1953 in Brownfield, TX and after her passing on December 18, 1975, he married Charlene Cox on January 20, 1984 in Brownfield. Gene had farmed most of his life and was a Deacon of the Church of the Living God. Surviving Gene is daughter Rhonda Kates and husband Brian of Big Spring, TX; son Russell Heath of West Virginia; wife Charlene Heath of Sweetwater, TX; grandchildren Perry Pierce and husband William of Florida, Ryan Mixson and wife Jennifer of Georgetown, TX; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Loudeen, three brothers and a sister. Pallbearers will be Ryan Mixson, Luke Meyers, Seth Meyers, Marshall Howard, John Shafer and Anthony Neighbors.
