Neoma Louise Daughrity (Suzi), a longtime resident of Brownfield, went to be with her Lord on May 21, 2020. She was born to William and Mildred Taylor Savelle on March 26, 1932 in Memphis, Texas. Along with her brother Billy, she spent most of her childhood in the Texas Panhandle and Eastern New Mexico. Suzi married Leon Jones in April, 1950 and together they moved to Brownfield in 1956 where they owned and operated a construction company for over 35 years. Suzi moved from Brownfield in October, 2014 and was lovingly cared for by her daughter and son-in-law Danette and Steve Lowes in their home in Josephine, Texas. Suzi was a homemaker and the mother of five children, all attending and graduating from the Brownfield school system. She was an expert seamstress. She supported her children in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts including as a leader. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brownfield for over 60 years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed volunteering for causes that were near and dear to her heart including the Hospice of Lubbock where she attended to terminal patients. Suzi is preceded in death by husbands Bobby Brock and Loyd Daughrity also of Brownfield. She is survived by sons Donald (Julie) Jones of Clifton, Texas, David (Rita) Jones of Lubbock, Texas and daughters Danette (Steve) Lowes of Josephine, Texas, Dianne Kline of Austin, Texas and Danna (Jeff) Stubbs of Lorena, Texas. Suzi is also survived by seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in Terry County Cemetery. The family wishes to thank special caregivers Macy Waggoner and the caring employees of Vitas Healthcare of Greenville including LaKenya Denmark and Toni Kleiber.
