Ms. Birdie Richardson

Ms. Birdie Richardson 100, formerly of Brownfield passed away peacefully at her residence in Dallas, Texas on Friday March 4, 2022. A visitation will be held Thursday March 10, 2022 6-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Grace Funeral Care-Brownfield. A graveside service will commence the following day March 11, 2022 12 noon at the Historic Mt. Zion Cemetery, with Pastor Eugene Reed, officiating.

Birdie was born on April 13th, 1921, to William Ervin and Seawilla Griffin in Fayette County. She was their only child. Birdie was preceded in death by her father William Ervin, her mother Seawilla Griffin-Stinson, and her husband Lorenzo Richardson. Birdie was also preceded in death by her children starting with her daughters Jerelene Fitzgerald, Allyne Porter, Dorothy Porter, Suewilla Brown, and her son John White Sr. Lastly, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Mary Ann Hickey.

Birdie leaves behind her children to cherish in her memories, her daughter Gloria Johnson of Dallas Tx., her son Lorenzo Richardson Jr of Brownfield Tx, and her grandson/ son John White Jr. of Dallas Tx.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren John White Jr. and Bridget of Dallas Tx., Deborah Williams and Tony of San Antonio Tx., Ronald Jackson and Laura of Bells Tx., Kevin Flournoy of Brownfield Tx., Keva Steens and Chris of Anna Tx., Arlene Fitzgerald and Kenneth of Andrews Tx., Jackie Anderson and Shannon of Houston Tx., LaPresha Lockhart of Detroit MI., Chancey Gutierrez of Brownfield Tx., Stephanie Richardson of Brownfield Tx., Chelsea Richardson of Brownfield Tx., Dennis Hall of Odessa Tx., Gloria Madkins and Mossaline of DeSoto Tx., Ronald Hickey of Austin Tx., Wanda Hobby and Scott of Cleburne Tx., Sheila Demps of Brownfield Tx., Wayne Demps of Brownfield Tx., and Robert Demps of Brownfield Tx.

She also leaves behind a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Birdie B. Richardson was most loved for her great cooking but will be remembered for her delicious cream pies.

She will be greatly missed!
