Lois June Moore, 91, formerly of Brownfield, passed away September 28, 2022 in Lubbock, surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, October 3, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chris Seaton officiating.

Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Lois was born on May 10, 1931 in Wolfforth, Texas to Mollie and Charles Ralph Stevens. She graduated from Brownfield High School. She proudly worked at Goodpasture Grain for almost 30 years, retiring in 1993.

Lois June Stevens met L G Moore at the first Harvest Festival in Terry County in 1947. They were married on August 17, 1949, and celebrated 70 years of marriage before L G passed away in 2020. She was also preceded in death by her son Gary. She is survived by her sons Greg Moore (Niel) and Kelly Moore (Kathy), her daughter Shay Troutman (Jon), and her daughter-in-law Linda Moore, all of Lubbock. The lights of her life were her 8 grandchildren (Allison, Landon, Evan, Eryn, Mollie, Kent, Aleigha and Alexa) and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the special people at The Legacy at South Plains and Interim Hospice who loved her so much and cared for her so well.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church of Brownfield, Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or to your favorite charity.
