Leland was born on July 23, 1956 in Brownfield to Bob and Zola Stewart. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ. Leland was a jack of all trades and loved working with his hands. He was a truck driver and roofer, and particularly enjoyed working on engines. He had an adventurous spirit and was known to do fearless things like hitchhiking across the country. Leland, forever a Marine at heart, was meticulous in his routine and thrived on structure. No one in the family could make a bed as perfectly as he could. Leland was a fun uncle who took the kids fishing and driving and helped cultivate their love of rock n roll. Leland was a free spirit, a wild one who couldn’t be tamed. Leland was preceded in death by his parents, Bob Leland is survived by his 3 sisters, Thresa Clavier, Sharon Whorton and Rhonda Robinstein and husband Fred; brother, Neil Stewart and wife Ella; lots of nieces and nephews and his best friends Ricky and Joyce Hill.
