Graveside service for Jose A. Martinez was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Brownfield Cemetery with Father Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Rosary was held 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Jose passed away on February 1, 2021. He was born on December 6, 1944 in Uvalde, Texas to Arnulfo and Guadalupe Martinez. He married Refugia Cuca Aggiure in Brownfield on June 7, 1963. Jose was a very caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was always joking and loved to party. He would say” It’s party time its Friday.” He was always listening to his radio. Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo and Guadalupe Martinez; grandson, Tommy Lee Martinez; siblings, Manuel Enrique Martinez, Maria Martinez Garcia, and Juan Martinez. Jose is survived his wife, Refugia Cuca Martinez; children, Rosa Vera and husband Robert, Joe Martinez and wife Nicole, Roy Martinez and wife Gracie, Lisa Banda and husband Rudy, Magdalena Elena Moreno and husband LeRoy; seventeen grandkids; twelve great-grandkids; siblings, Arnulfo Martinez Jr., Lupe Martinez, David Martinez.
