Guadalupe Mesquias December 12, 1933 - January 13, 2023 Funeral Services for Guadalupe Mesquias, 89, of Brownfield will be held at 10 am on Monday, January 16, 2023 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father John Ohlig officiating. Viewing will be held from 10 am-8 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 and 12 pm-8 pm on Sunday, January 15, 2023, with Rosaries at 6 pm both evenings, at Brownfield Funeral Home.

Guadalupe was born on December 12, 1933 in Violet to Bonifacio and Estefana Grimaldo. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Guadalupe married Jose Roberto Mesquias, Sr. on December 29, 1951. She had a deep faith and she was involved with many church ministries: Guadalapana’s prayer group, Eucharistic Minister, Lector and taught Baptismal Classes. She instilled her strong faith and family values into her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Guadalupe was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Roberto Mesquias, Sr.; parents, Bonifacio and Estefana Grimaldo; daughter, Irmalinda Mesquias; sons Robert and Jesse Mesquias and granddaughter, Stephanie Sanchez.

Guadalupe is survived by her children; Guadalupe Martinez and husband Jesse of Brownfield, Esperanza Torres of Brownfield, Virginia Mendoza and husband Alfonso of Ozona, Pedro Mesquias and wife Mary Ellen of Lubbock, Cecilia Salazar and husband Danny of Levelland, George Mesquias and wife Gena of Levelland; 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Rita Mesquias of Lubbock.
