Guadalupe Castaneda Gonzales was born on September 12, 1949 to Alberto and Victoria Castaneda. She was born in Adrian, Michigan, but spent her adolescent years growing up in Ropesville, Texas with her 11 siblings. She loved her parents and siblings deeply, and enjoyed reminiscing about the adventures and memories they all made together.

She was a lady of many talents, and put her whole heart into everything that she did. She enjoyed sharing her talents with her 8 daughters, often sitting them down and teaching them about needlework, sewing, and drawing. She also showed her love through cooking and, in her younger years, aspired to become a chef. She spent many hours of her life preparing and cooking meals for her ever-growing family.

She is survived by 10 siblings, 7 of her daughters, Priscilla Rodriguez and her husband, Ruben, Suzanna Perea, Amanda Gonzales, Vanessa Flores and her husband, Stephen, Alisha Gonzales and her husband Jeremy, Pamela Jobe and her husband, JJ, and Ashley Swain and her husband, Joel, as well as 20 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Alberto and Victoria Castaneda, her sister, Amelia Perez, and her daughter, Melinda Murphy, and other loved members of her extended family.
