The family of Don Wilson will celebrate his life of 88 years at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. His family will host a time of fellowship and remembrance from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Monday, January 17, 2022. We also ask that you consider viewing his Life Tribute, a video of photographs set to his favorite music. On October 4, 1933, Don Afton was born to Rob and Beulah Wilson in Miles, TX. He married Cecilia “Cindy” Lovinggood on August 8, 1958, in San Angelo, Texas. He graduated from high school in San Angelo, Texas. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea for two years. He met the love of his life and began his family after his service. He worked almost 30 years for Amoco Production Company, starting as a roustabout and worked his way to District Foreman. When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with family, doing home projects, fishing and attending various sporting events watching his kids and grandkids. He had a wonderful personality that you could not forget and was loved by many. He will be missed. Survivors include his children, Brad (Misty) Wilson, Darrell (LeaAnn) Wilson, Carl (Charee) Wilson; grandchildren, Kinsey (Bradon) Loya, Taylor (Tucker) Cromer, Kristyn Wilson, Kylar Wilson, Cambree Wilson, Addison Wilson, Carlee Wilson, Chandler Wilson; great-grandchildren, Kaislyn Gober, Everly Loya, Cohen Loya, Kaden Gober He was preceded in death by wife, Cecilia Wilson; father, Rob Wilson; mother, Beulah Wilson; three brothers and one sister.
