Funeral services for Bernard Gibson, 70, of Seagraves, Texas will be conducted Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. David Boyd and Rev. Dan Reynolds officiating, with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Sea-graves. He passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. Bernard was born June 17, 1948 in Sacramento, California to Brady

and Lorean Lere Sandifer Gibson. He graduated from Seagraves High School, served in the United States Army in 1967 to 1974 during the Vietnam War. He was employed with Community Service for the City of Seagraves, a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Vera August 15, 2003 and a son Paul in 1968. Bernard is survived by a daughter Mona Gibson Nolan and her husband Liverio of Seagraves; a grandson Charles Moore, and a sister Dennice Hines of Denver City; Special people in his life Eriq Fininen and his wife Vikki of Colorado; Special nephew Marvin Harrell along with many nieces, nephews, and cousin. Visitation were held Friday, May 31st at 5:30 -7:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel of Seagraves, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to: Mt. Olive Baptist, PO Box 1068, Seagraves, Texas 79359.
