Graveside services for Agapito Fuentes Sr. will be held privately with a memorial service following at a later date that is to be determined. Viewing was held on Saturday, March 28, 2020, from 11am to 8pm and on Sunday, March 29, 2020 from 12pm to 8pm. Agapito passed away on March 23, 2020 in Midland. He was born on May 13, 1969, in Mountain Home, Idaho to Juan Fuentes and Paulita Aguirre. Agapito was a hardworking man with a very kind and beautiful soul. He wouldn’t hesitate to help anyone. He always told his son to help the people that needed help, give them funds or whatever they needed, because one day you might be in their shoes. When asked “what if they don’t want help” he would just say, “well, pray for them.” He was always full of Joy. Agapito is preceded in death by his father, Juan Fuentes, step-father, Manuel Aguirre, sister, Federicka Fuentes, nephew, Christopher Garcia, and uncle, Francisco Medellin. Agapito is survived by his mother, Paulita Aguirre; wife, Juanita Duran of Midland; children, Joshua Fuentes of Brownfield, Agapito Fuentes, Jr. and wife Stephanie Gonzales of Midland, Monica Fuentes of Midland, Faith Duran of Midland, Christie Ann Barber and husband, Joshua of Dallas; stepchildren, Kris Cortinas of Corpus Christi, Ashley Garcia of Midland, Modesto Jr. Ellis of Midland, Chelsey Ellis of Midland, and Jessiah Duran of Midland; siblings, Janie Garcia of Brownfield, Antonio Fuentes and wife, Margarita of Brownfield, Gregory Fuentes and wife Tina of Washington, Francis Fuentes and husband, Jesus Perez of Brownfield; Jamie Fuentes of Brownfield, and Joe Aguirre and wife, Rose Jimenez Aguirre of Midland; and 17 grandchildren.
