Nan Pool Johnson (July 21, 1940 - June 14, 2013)
Nan Pool Johnson, 72, of Friona, formerly of Muleshoe, died Friday, June 14, 2013 in Friona.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Friona with Rev. Bobby Brouhgton, officiating. Burial followed in the Muleshoe Memorial Park in Muleshoe. Arrangements were by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona.
Nan was born July 21, 1940 in Hagerman, N.M. to Oscar and Sammy McKinstry Allison. She was a longtime Muleshoe resident. She graduated from Muleshoe High School, received her masterís degree and became a school teacher. She married L. T. Johnson in 1986. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Muleshoe.
She is preceded in death by her parents and Nand, her husband.
Survivors include one daughter, Alison Broughton and husband Bobby of Muleshoe; one son, Greg Pool of Plainview; two brothers, Sam Allison and wife Kathy of Amarillo and Mack Allison and wife Kay of Enid, Okla., and one sister, Susan Black of Dumas.
