Funeral services for Clovis Leon Cline, 75, of Seagraves will be held Wednesday, May 29th at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Wellman with Reverend Eddie McHugh officiating assisted by Reverend Homer Jones. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home. Clovis passed away Saturday in Lubbock.
Clovis was born December 16, 1937 in Lamesa, Texas to G. E. & Luches Cline. He married Connie Jackson August 16, 1958 in Lamesa, Texas. They moved to Seagraves in 1963 where he farmed in Terry County. Clovis was a former trustee of the Wellman School Board, Lions Club, and was named Honorary Chapter Farmer of the FFA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellman. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Clovis is survived by his wife Connie of Seagraves, and four daughters, Rae Anne Hart & her husband Jimmy Dean of Brownfield; Terri Barron & her husband James of Lamesa; Debbie Nichols & her husband Allen of Seagraves and Kim Davila & her husband Jesse also of Seagraves, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; along with many nieces & nephews.
Family & friends visitation will be Tuesday evening 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Seagraves EMS or The Wounded Warriors Project.
