Jose Roel DeLuna, Jr
Jose Roel DeLuna Jr, 42, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in Denver City.
Funeral Mass for Mr. DeLuna was held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Brownfield with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial followd at Brownfield Cemetery. Personal services were entrusted to Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
Jose was born on June 13, 1970 to Jose Sr. and Lillie DeLuna in Brownfield. He entered the military and served his county from 1989 until 1993 in the Navy. He married Blanca Contreras on September 6, 1994 in Brownfield.
His family will remember how he enjoyed riding motorcycles and airbrushing.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 18 years, Blanca Contreras of the home; one son, Joshua Roel DeLuna of Brownfield; three daughters, Victoria Lynn DeLuna, Lilian Rose DeLuna and Gabriella Noelle DeLuna, all of Brownfield; two brothers, Manuel DeLuna and Cruz DeLuna, both of Lubbock; and two sisters, Melissa Grimeldo and Cynthia Garza, both of Brownfield.
He is preceded in death by his mother; one grandmother, Vicenta Contreras; one niece: Jolynn Grimeldo; and one uncle: Eloy Contreras.
