Lady Wildcats hooked by Longhorns

The Lady Wildcats lost 31-43 to Loop Friday night.

They traded leads with the Lady Longhorns throughout the first quarter and maintained a slight advantage most of the second, but scored only twice in the third and never could recover.

"We were just too tight tonight and could not get a rhythm going,” said Head Coach Todd Ellis. "We were trying too hard, and we just made too many mistakes. The Loop girls capitalized on our mistakes, and we didn’t capitalize on theirs.

Scorers included Sierra Wheatley 3-0 1-1 7, Rosa Olivas 1-1 0-2 5, Tristan Baker 1-1 5, Breck Faught 2-0 1-2 5, Tori Browne 0-0 404 4, Abi Lindsey 1-0 1-2 3 and Lexi Olivas 1-0 2. 

The Wildcats and Lady ‘Cats will be back home Tuesday to host the Dawson Dragons.
