Guadalupe Gonzalez (1937-2012)

Guadalupe Gonzalez, 75, passed from this life on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in Lubbock.

 Funeral mass for Mr. Castillo will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Brownfield with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.  Services have been entrusted to Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors in Brownfield
Mr. Castillo was born on October 28, 1937 to Guadalupe and Adela Gonzalez in Mexico. He married Edelmira Cera. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2011.

His family will remember him for his love of hunting.  He also enjoyed watching baseball and soccer, as well as spending time on the farm. He also liked to watch soap operas.

Those left to cherish his memories are three sons, Luis Gonzalez, Guadalupe Gonzalez Jr. and wife Luz Maria and Arnaldo Gonzalez and wife Margarita, all of Colorado; three daughters, Siria Gonzalez and husband Luis of Brownfield, Maira Gonzalez and husband Luis and Luz Maria Gonzalez, all of Colorado; one brother, Manuel Gonzalez of Mexico and two sisters, Elda Gonzalez of Amarillo and Rosa Gonzalez of Dalhart. He was also blessed with 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; five sons, Miguel Gonzalez, Efren Gonzalez, Fidencio Gonzalez, Lazaro Gonzalez and Jose Gonzalez; five brothers; one sister and one grandson, Jesus Gonzalez.
