Meadow’s girls basketball team lost 65-46 to Hale Center Tuesday night.
The Lady Broncos (1-2) steadily followed the Lady Owls the first two quarters and were tied 21-21 at halftime, but then fell behind toward the end of the game.
"We played really well for three quarters,” said Coach Ryan Bobo. "We got tired and missed some assignments in the fourth quarter.”
Tamara Vela led the Lady Broncos with 23 points. Carla Rodriguez had 11 points, and Lexy Silva had 9 points and 9 rebounds.
The Lady Broncos will compete in tournaments the rest of this month and will not play at home again until Dec. 4, when they will host Plains.
The boys team will kick off their season within a few weeks, after they wrap up their football playoff stretch.
