Services for Lonette Lindsey, 88, of Brownfield were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013 in the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don McWhorter officiating. Burial followed at Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was from 6-7 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2013 at Brownfield Funeral Home.
Lonette was born July 15, 1924 in Lake City, Ark., to John Edward and Frieda Stovall. She attended Draughn’s Business College. She married Woodson W. Lindsey November 6, 1947 in Brownfield. They were partners with Rogers and Melba Lindsey in the ownership of Lindsey Hardware in Brownfield and Denver City. Lonette was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and Frieda Stovall, and husband, Woodson W. Lindsey.
Lonette is survived by her son, Woody Lindsey and wife, Patti, of Denver City; three daughters, Ann Bell and husband, David, of Abilene, Beth Brian and husband, Randy, of Lubbock, Jane Cook and husband, Farley, of Levelland; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Arnatta Stovall; cousin, Joe Dorothy Jons; nephew, Phillip Lindsey; and niece, Robin King.
