Christene Lois McWilliams  (1931-2012)

Services for Christene Lois McWilliams, 81, of Levelland and formerly of Brownfield, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Seaton officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.


A family visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Christene passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Levelland. She was born on September 24, 1931 to Noah Ralph and Elizabeth Pauline (Jeter) Butcher. She graduated from Brownfield High School.

Christene married Melvin Eugene McWilliams on June 19, 1950 in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death on June 14, 2005. She is also preceded in death by a son, Lynn; a sister, Mozelle Butcher; and a brother, Vernon Butcher. She lived her entire life in Brownfield. She was a self-employed seamstress. She was a member of the Tahoka Road Church of Christ.

Christene is survived by a son, Greg McWilliams of Levelland; a daughter, Lanna Perez of Brownfield; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; five sisters, Estelle Lee, Dorthy Paden, Betty Jeter, May Hook and Fay Howell; and two brothers-in-law, Wendell McWilliams and Adrian McWilliams.
