Broncos open tourney with big win

Meadow isn’t just hosting a tournament this week - so far they’ve dominated it.

The Broncos opened their home tournament Thursday with a 83-27 win over Cotton Center. The visiting Elks suffered two entire quarters in which they only scored one time each.

The Broncos (4-3) were ahead 16-6 at the end of the first quarter, 42-8 at halftime and 62-25 at the end of the third.
Scorers included Zach England 9-0 1-4 19, Brandon Flores 8-0 0-2 16, A. Davila 6-0 12, Christian Herrera 3-1 1-2 10, Andrew Flores 3-1 9, Ralph Urias 3-1 9 and Trey Herrera 3-0 6.

The Broncos will continue tournament play at 12:30 p.m. Friday against the winner of an upcoming match between Hart and Kingdom Preparatory Academy. Another victory will put them in the championship bracket, set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
