    Coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday that the league's first openly gay player has been added to the practice squad.The Cowboys, who are seeking help with their pass rush because of injuries and the offseason release of franchise sacks leader DeMarcus Ware, added Sam four days after he was released by St. Louis when teams had to cut rosters to 53 players.

    The longstanding rivalry between the Meadow Broncos and the Ropes Eagles heated up despite the bitter chill Friday night as football fans on both sides of the Ropes field thrummed the bleachers in hopes of spurring one of their teams to a victory.But after putting up a strong defense, the Meadow Broncos couldn’t pull off the victory losing to Ropes 62-30.
