    Are you familiar with the Bible story of the woman caught in adultery?  You and I may or may not have ever been in shoes like hers, but nonetheless, in our own mind, our sin is just as hard to bear.

    It is a question that draws some interesting comments. Reading is one of my passions. I try to vary the books I read. Fiction novels have always been a first choice. They offer a little escape and allow my imagination to see the story's characters and the plot take shape in my mind.

    Stories of great faith are seen throughout the Bible.  Take Peter for example.  It took great faith for him to step out in the water of crashing waves to walk to Jesus (Matthew 14:22-27).  But even his faith was surrounded by waves of doubt.

    Web site blues have become a little more understandable for us at this newspaper. After several years of dealing with a company that built and maintained our websites, the owner decided that he wanted to go in a different direction and gave us notice last fall.
