Family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of our beloved Grace from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers, Lubbock.  Services were at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 in Lake Ridge Chapel with burial following at 3:00 p.m. in Terry County Memorial Park, Brownfield.  Grace went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2014 in Katy, Texas.

She was born on Sept. 18, 1926 in Ryan Okla.  The 7th of 8 children born to the late James Henry and Beulah Petty.  She grew up in Brownfield and Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1948.  Grace married TJ Luckie Jr. on Nov. 23, 1949 in Lubbock and he died on Jan. 27, 1966.  Two years later, on June 9, 1968 Grace married B. Coy Ford and he died on Oct. 18, 2013.  She worked for the Brownfield Independent School District as a cafeteria worker then as a bus driver until she retired in 1999.  She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church, Brownfield where she worked in the nursery until her retirement in 2002.  In 2011, Grace went for a long visit to Katy, Tx . In 2013, she moved to the Cinco Ranch Alzheimer’s Facility.

Along with her parents, and both of her husbands, Grace was preceded in death by a son, Gary Thomas Luckie; three brothers: Robert Petty, William Jackson Petty and George Lewis Petty and three sisters: Ozelle Young, Lou Stanley and Marie Sims.

Survivors include a daughter Judy Gail Seigworth and husband Steve; daughter-in-law, Donna Andrews Luckie; grandchildren, David Luckie, Derek Luckie, Samantha Seigworth and Grayson Seigworth; four great grandchildren; brother, Floyd Lee Petty and wife Frances; and several nieces and nephews.
