Traffic stop leads to drug indictment

A Brownfield man is currently in jail after being indicted by a Terry County Grand Jury as a result of a drug arrest in March.
Grady Lynn Maynard,46, was pulled over during a traffic stop at 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12 near the 600 block of N. 6 St.
The officer called for a K-9 unit and allegedly found under two ounces of Marijuana as well as under one gram of methamphetamine.
At the time of the incident, Maynard was charged with a state jail felony Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 less than one gram as well as a Class B Misdemeanor charge of Possession of Marijuana and a Class C Misdemeanor charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Maynard’s total bond amount for all charges at the time of arrest was set at $9,800. As of news time Maynard was still being held in the Terry County Law Enforcement Center.
