One local resident was recently indicted for Burglary of a Habitation as well as a state felony drug charge after an incident in March where the subject,Arthur Lee Goodson, was allegedly found in possession of stolen property as well as less than one gram of methamphetamine.
,36, was indicted for Burglary of a Habitation and Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 Less than 1 Gram after a 48-year-old female victim alleged her home had been burglarized.
At about 11 a.m. on Friday, March 7, Brownfield police officers were called to the 1300 block of E. Broadway in reference to a burglary. Information from the burglary led to the suspect who was immediately contacted and detained.  Consent to search was obtained revealing stolen articles from inside the residence allegedly in his possession  as well as under one gram of  methamphetamine.
Goodson was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance PG1 Less than 1 Gram (State Jail Felony) as well as second-degree felony Burglary of a Habitation.
At the time of his arrest, bond for the burglary charge was set at $20,000.
