Meadow ISD fifth grader Ashtan Clanton set out to do a project earlier this year after being elected the Elementary Mayor. Clanton has had a passion for reading and is currently the only member of Burleson Elementary in the 1,000,000-word read club, which he achieved earlier this semester.

The Meadow girl’s golf team capped off its season in fine fashion. The Lady Broncos finished sixth at the Region I-1A Championships on Thursday and Friday at Reese Golf Course in Lubbock. Meadow carded rounds of 457-479—936 for the event.
In a battle of the bullpens, the Littlefield Wildcats won. It won them the game, as well, against Brownfield.
The Brownfield High School Track and Field team competed at the area track meet in Denver City on Thursday and Friday. The top two places in each category advanced to the regional meet. Joel Morales, Quavience Busby, Kate Hesse and Avery Kirkland each secured a spot at the regional meet.

Guiterrez was 3 for 4 with a double, triple and home run in the Lady Cubs’ dramatic 10-9 victory against Littlefield on Saturday in Brownfield. Gutierrez scored once and drove in six runs in the victory that kept the Lady Cubs squarely in the race for a playoff berth in District 3-3A.
